• What sealing solutions does PXL SEALS offer for industry and energy?

PXL Seals offers seals for hydroelectricity and energy (offshore, wind turbines, MRE), large bearings and slewing rings (tunnel boring machines, maritime and naval sectors, construction), as well as sealing and guidance systems for industry.

• What sealing solutions does PXL SEALS offer for hydroelectricity?

In the field of hydroelectricity, PXL SEALS supplies seals to turbine manufacturers (Andritz, Voith, GE, etc.) for original equipment, as well as to hydro operators (EDF, CNR, EDP, etc.): seals for Kaplan turbines and bulb units (blade pin seals, guide seals, etc.), seals for Pelton or Francis turbines, butterfly valve seals, movable ring seals, and spherical valve seals (penstock seals).

We also manufacture seals for structured valves for hydroelectric plants, dams, and locks: lift gates, segment gates, flap gates, roof gates...

• What types of seals do you offer?

Many of the seals we offer are single-piece molded seals manufactured in our workshop in Valserhône in the Ain region of France.

PXL SEALS designs, manufactures, and installs static seals, linear seals, O-rings, rotary seals, linear seals, scrapers, and servomotor seals, as well as musical notes for gate valves. We can also manufacture special parts and fittings.

• Does PXL SEALS design custom seals for large diameters?

Yes, in order to seal large bearings, PXL SEALS has developed high-precision, fully molded, single-piece seals for large to very large diameters.
The seals offered are V-Rings, Perobat seals, and Jumbo seals.

•    What materials do you use for the seals?

The materials used for PXL SEALS seals are:

- PTFE, high-performance polymers...

- PU, PE, PVDF, PEEK, engineering plastics

- NBR, FPM, EPDM, silicone, FFPM...

- EPDM 70 (PXL Hydrorubber)

- PXLKOT, heavy-duty composite materials

• What types of on-site services does PXL SEALS provide?

Our on-site services cover everything from on-site expertise to on-site installation and maintenance.
The PXL EALS on-site team operates in Europe and internationally to support your teams or carry out complete interventions.

For example, we provide expertise in housing and dismantling, complete seal replacement services, and assistance to maintenance teams with assembly and training for maintenance operators.

• Does PXL SEALS replace seals on existing installations?

Yes, we perform maintenance and seal replacement directly in turbines and other equipment. Thanks to our on-site joining processes, we can replace seals without dismantling the equipment, which saves considerable time and money by reducing equipment downtime.
